April 19:

6:30 pm: Arrive at QCC in Circle Drive on West Boylston St entrance
7:00 pm: Leave for KY Expo Center

April 20:

9:00 am: Stop for breakfast at fast food restaurant
12:00 pm: Arrive at KY Expo Center for participant dropoff

April 24:

7:00 am – Pickup at Hotels to Return to QCC
7:00 am –  Pickup Sleep Inn
7:15 am –  Pickup Cottonwood Suites
7:30 am –  Pick up from Hilton Garden (downtown)
12:00 pm –  Stop for lunch at fast food
5:00 pm –   Stop for dinner at fast food
10:00 pm – Arrive back at QCC

According to the National Robotics Week website:

The seventh annual National Robotics Week event will be held April 2-10, 2016. RoboWeek 2015 was awesome and 2016 promises to be even better! Activities can be small, large, and everything in between. Check out our activity ideas below, think about what your group might like to do and help make 2016 our best year ever.

The Purpose of National Robotics Week is to:

  • Celebrate the US as a leader in robotics technology development
  • Educate the public about how robotics technology impacts society, both now and in the future
  • Advocate for increased funding for robotics technology research and development
  • Inspire students of all ages to pursue careers in robotics and other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math-related fields

Robot Trading Cards

The all new 2016 deck is here! iRobot teamed up with IEEE Spectrum and Georgia Tech Institute for Robotics & Intelligent Machines (IRIM) to create a set of robot trading cards so you can see many of the cool robots out there.

This deck features ten famous robots developed by companies and researchers in the U.S. along with fun facts about each. Don’t forget about IEEE Spectrum’s award winning, internationally acclaimed Robots for iPad app, where you can learn about even more robots.
